The Sense of Forgiveness
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

2 - Reflect
An unexpected phone call surprised me this morning: it was from an old friend that, due to life circumstances, I haven't seen for a long time.
The reason we had separated was an argument that, to tell the truth, I don't remember what it was about. At that time I did not take into account the consequences of my actions, but the call of my old friend made me realize how different I am today and I know that this is due to walking the path of the Lord.
Forgiveness is an act that involves a high degree of courage and courage on our part because it implies challenges that the Lord wants us to overcome day by day. Forgiveness implies resisting and eliminating the feeling of revenge, not paying evil with evil, wishing good to the one who affected us, praying for his or her well-being and seeking reconciliation.
To learn to forgive is to assume the protection that God gives us so that between Him and us there is nothing in between, neither anger nor resentment, which are signs of a wounded heart. Let us remove resentment from our hearts; let us make room for reconciliation by taking away the space that anger may be occupying in us. Let us not forget that we will only receive the Lord's grace in our lives if we are prepared to accept repentance and forgiveness from those around us.
