The Father Will Always Be Present
Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool. Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.

2 - Reflect
Today I would like to talk about the importance of words, but not necessarily about which words to use, but about when to use them and when not to use them. What I am referring to is the importance of silence, because many times we feel that we have to fill the empty spaces with words.
One of the skills that determines our relationship with those around us and that at the same time takes us a long time to develop, is the ability to know the right moments to speak and consequently to be silent.
For this reason we must be conscious every day of what we say and what we keep silent, taking into account two teachings that the Word of the Lord wisely gives us: first, when our mouth is an instrument of help and encouragement, let us use words of love, protection and hope.
Second, if we are tempted to slander, ridicule or belittle others, let us assume that it is better to keep quiet. When chatter or anger tempts us to sin against God or another human being, we can resist by thinking well before speaking, which will generate a silence that will give us time to study whether what we say next will be edifying or not.
