Zero tolerance

"Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but one who has a hasty temper exalts folly."

2 - Reflect
In the societies in which we grew up, it is very normal for us to have zero tolerance in certain situations. We do not wait for a second so that the light can change before we cross the street, we are unable to remain calm in a line to get some paperwork done, we cannot stand the idea of having to care for our grandparents because we do not have patience. We are constantly motivated to do things, to move quickly, to give answers almost without thinking. When something does not turn out the way we think it should then we get frustrated, we become angry, and we may even insult those who are with us, just to vent our anger.

We transit areas where violence already goes unnoticed, where we respond badly when we don't want to do something that someone else asks us to do. We lose our minds over the smallest things, and that is only because we are not in tune with our own faith. Going back to God's word, to speaking with Him every night, will give us the peace of mind we need in order to make a change. The Lord will guide us so we do not feel overcome by the things that make us lose our patience and our good manners. We must turn to Him whenever we want to respond negatively and every time we begin to feel anger.
