Jealousy that corrupts
“Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

2 - Reflect
I used to be very jealous with my love interest, I got uneasy when they shared with friends or when they went out for a few hours without telling me where they were going. I started to even doubt the people at work, I checked their belongings to see if they were hiding something, I was really out of control. Negative emotions were getting stronger, my imagination was very powerful and I believed that at any moment they could be unfaithful.
Little by little the relationship was wearing down, my love interest was no longer comfortable with what was happening and recommended that I ask for help. My irrational and fanciful thoughts had taken me away from my love. Soon I began to contemplate at night, in solitude, I talked with God about the root of my thoughts. I thought I did not deserve what I had, I devalued myself and that caused a lot of insecurity. I worked day and night on my own love, to be able to connect myself in another way with my future relationships. I opened my heart to faith and began to heal and accept myself, then love returned and it was the healthiest love. Understanding that one did not have to own the other, but rather that we should love in a free and sincere way.
