1 - READ THE WORD
Always Present in You
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

2 - Reflect
Last night I was watching a documentary about how engine coils are made. What caught my attention were the factory workers and how they performed their job perfectly, but in an automaton-like manner. Looking at their eyes, it seemed as if their mind was somewhere else.
It is clear that human beings tend to build routines as soon as they have the possibility, regardless of how diverse the activities we develop are; and it is in the repetition of such routine that we find a sense of security. We require routine activities that we do over and over again and that sustain our day to day life and, at certain times, it is possible that we become saturated to some extent by always doing the same thing.
However, even though it is normal that at some point we feel tired of the routine, we are missing a truth: it is about facing each obligation no matter how routine it is and asking God to use it for His purposes. In this way, every activity will be transformed into a sacred work with invisible and eternal consequences.
If what we do is thought of as fruit that we will render before the Lord, even the tasks we consider routine will be meaningful and bring us joy.
