2 - Reflect
Today I intend to deliver a particular message, and it is about compassion. There is a very nice definition that I have come across, and it is that compassion is the ability to put ourselves in the other's place, stressing that there will be no peace or satisfaction in me, if there is none in the other. This sensitivity, which at first may sound a bit obvious, is not so present in our daily practices, which is why we must emphasize to keep it in mind.



This beautiful definition reminds me of the compassion that is manifested in several passages of the Holy Bible and with which the Lord teaches us the tools we have to become better people every day.



The Lord shows us through his word and with great wisdom the value of cultivating mercy and compassion. He gives us today the promise that his sense of care for us and his character as a compassionate Father does not wane under any circumstance but, on the contrary, his fidelity as a Father is always renewed. Therefore, we must be aware that we serve God and He knows what it is like to walk in our shoes.
