The Desired Equilibrium of Peace
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

2 - Reflect
We often forget, or rather, we take for granted the fact that peace is found within us, but how many times have we stopped to ask ourselves if this is really the case? We live in a world in which the word peace is forgotten, decimated and yet it is permanently on everyone's lips.
Many times we fail to recognize the importance of making sure that God's peace reigns in our hearts and in difficult circumstances we may even forget the need to seek that peace. His word teaches us that if we do not find peace in ourselves we will not be able to advance in the way of Christ.
It is important then to let peace rule our hearts, meaning that the peace of the Lord must come before any other priority we have. But how do we recognize God's peace? The peace of the Lord is tranquility, calmness and spiritual tranquility; it is the opposite of feelings of tension caused by upset, frustration or bad moods. Our Father desires that, no matter the circumstance or difficulty, we carry a quality peace, a peace that surpasses our understanding and that will give us tranquility at times when anyone else might lose their cool and fall into despair or anguish.
