1 - READ THE WORD
Do not rely on superficial illusions
At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.

2 - Reflect
How many times have we wished we were born into a wealthy family so we wouldn't have to struggle to make ends meet without suffering in the attempt? How many times have we wished we didn't have to go through illnesses so we wouldn't have to suffer the process? How many times have we wished we had an easier life in every aspect we can think of, so we could enjoy all the benefits we can imagine?
First of all, I would like to clarify that all these fantasies do nothing but consume our time and lead us nowhere. We have the life we have and that should be more than enough, but the question itself has nothing to do with the life we have been given, but with what we do with it.
On the other hand, I would also like to clarify that an “easy” life does not imply being able to enjoy it, since we can enjoy any moment, any life, we should only learn to be grateful and thus be able to see the things that deserve our enjoyment. Let us remember that an “easy” life would imply, in such a case, not having to fight for anything, since everything we desire would be given to us.
But at the same time we would not grow either spiritually or as people, since struggle implies personal growth. Let us remember then how God urges us to fight for what we desire, how by fighting we strengthen the spirit and, therefore, also our faith in Him.
