The Eternal Friend
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

2 - Reflect
We all have at least one true friend, those who hold us when we need them most, who are our confidants, who know us better than we know ourselves, and that is good. But many times we forget to count among those essential friends the almighty Lord, not keeping in mind that it is He who gives us the strength to live, who gave us life and - most importantly - who gave His own life and that of His Son for all of us.
So let us remember that Jesus was a great teacher, a compassionate shepherd, but also a leader who welcomed each of his disciples as true friends. He extended his hand and above all his complete trust to them to reveal his feelings and thoughts.
He was open, genuine and like a true friend, real, letting them know the hope he had for them to follow his example. Consider the Lord as another friend, let him know how much you love him.
