2 - Reflect
Returning home after a hard day at work, I found myself in a pitched battle. My youngest son greeted me by throwing a ball in my face; the two in the middle were arguing loudly about I don't remember what topic of transcendental importance and my wife was completely overwhelmed.
Faced with such a picture, my immediate reaction was to take a deep breath while I counted to ten, and then take it all as I always do: with a lot of humor. But once everyone had gone to sleep, and meditating on the matter, I thought that it is difficult to think of a perfect family, a family without problems.
However, it is possible to think of families whose efforts are oriented to seek God every day, to mature from the communion and fraternal coexistence among each of its members and to assume the commitment to build the true home that honors the Lord. God gives us today the promise of constant blessings for us, our sons and daughters and, consequently, for our family.
Let us sow love in our family and strengthen our faith in God. To follow the way of the Lord is to turn our house into a home, into that dream home in which all its members find the true joy of living under God's guidance.
