We should not worship false idols

2 - Reflect
I left from my job and met her, my sister's friend. We greeted each other and I asked her how things were going with her. She told me that she was happy, because she had gotten a job in a TV program where she could closely watch all the stars who worked there. That had been her dream since childhood and she longed to be like them, the best known actress on the channel. That no matter task she had to do, she just wanted to be there, close to the sky and "the stars", she said while laughing, referencing the people who were working there, because being on TV, had a certain reputation.
This left me with an odd feeling, and I kept thinking about it, I wondered how often we assign excessive value to certain aspects of life. We attach great importance to money, success, beauty. We create false gods to chase after them and worship them, wasting much of our time and energy in obtaining them, or in approaching these fictitious ideals. Idols with feet of mud that we will soon see fallen. Because they are not real, they are not true, they do not last. Money changes hands easily, beauty and youth end, success is very volatile and fleeting.
Choose well what you dedicate your time to, your astonishment, your respect, and your Faith.
