An Incalculable Speed to Meet Faith
He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

2 - Reflect
I remember how a few years ago, after moving from the village to the city, I watched with surprise the rhythm of a rising metropolis.
I also remember how I compared that rhythm to a huge wave, which can easily take you to the bottom of the sea unless you swim at full speed and stay afloat. Many times that same rhythm that has us alienated, makes us follow the path by inertia, just like those strolling horses that have their eyes covered but know very well how to go home.
In the same way, so many other times we find ourselves self-absorbed and, in some way, distanced from the path of the Lord. And He urges us to live in a quiet way, so that we can dedicate ourselves to all matters in an orderly manner but, above all things, dedicating our time, heart and mind to everything we do. In the face of the speed of everyday life, let us take time to pause, let us remember that living for God begins by learning to rest in Him.
