The moment of solitude
“Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over him who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!”

2 - Reflect
There are many people who fear having solitary moments. That time that as Christians we us to meditate, to think about what has happened to us throughout the day or simply to study the decisions we have been taking. Some people do not tolerate that silence because they fail to evaluate themselves. Sometimes it is because they are not prepared to face their own shortcomings which is something that is necessary in order to learn to do things differently. Those who can not criticize themselves and improve their attitudes will not be ready to modify their behavior.
Those who do not notice if their decisions affect their brothers in a negative way, or those who can not decipher if they are dealng with injustice or selfishness, will be the ones who flee from a moment of introspection with our God. Those who will fill the silences with more noise and confusion, and will not be willing to be evaluated, by themselves or by others, will not open their hearts to dialogue with God because they will be convinced that their ways of doing things are the only ones that exist and the only ones that are correct. It requires a lot of courage to recognize when we wrong, but it implies greater courage to be able to talk about our shortcomings with our Heavenly Father. Only He can absolve us of our mistakes, only through Him can we have an understanding of what we are not doing well or of the damage we are causing to those we love most.
