1 - READ THE WORD
Personal and Eternal Commitment
When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.

2 - Reflect
Once, when my son was a toddler, I set out to teach him things not by telling him in words, but by example. At that time I was amazed at the speed with which he learned, the effectiveness of teaching by example.
In other cases, students understand better if they are shown how a job is done; children tend to be calmer and calmer if they observe their parents acting and treating others with the same calmness and tranquility. Acting by example is a wonderful tool that we do not always take into account when teaching. We are also called to be imitators of God, to transmit with our actions and deeds his love and sacrifice, keeping away from our actions foolishness, dishonest words and other forms that keep us away from honoring the Lord.
Likewise, we are called to contribute with the fruit of our works to the development of others, so that they may also observe us as an example of how to conduct themselves in order to fulfill the Lord's purpose in their lives. Let us remember that to imitate Christ is to become instruments to serve others.
