Don't Think It's Too Late

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. 2 - Reflect
Often we may find ourselves taking stock of our life and, almost inevitably, moments or actions come up that we are not proud of. Our first reaction is to want to go back in time and correct those actions and, even though we know that this is impossible by any standards, our thoughts get stuck in that: what would have happened if...?

When we get bogged down in that thought, we are inevitably overcome by the feeling that the mistake has already been made and that it is irreparable, an act that plunges us into depression and is fertile ground for feelings such as uneasiness, helplessness and loss of self-confidence to emerge.

In these circumstances, it certainly becomes complicated for us to understand why such difficulties occur to us, clouding our horizon and preventing us from seeing a better future. It seems too late to start over and we feel that we have already lost the opportunities to make our desires come true.

We must move away today from that anguish, from that anxiety that brings us down, because there is always time to make amends, if we trust that God is our guide and faith is our path.
